CNNMoney Releases List of 50 Most Powerful Women

CNNMoney / FORTUNE ThumbUprecently released their 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list for 2010. This annual ranking of top American business women includes female leaders in their respective industries that made large acquisitions or earned big promotions this year.

Out of this elite group of business women includes several from the banking and finance sectors:

  • Barbara Desoer (ranked #19), Bank of America President, Home Loans—Her division lost money for the second year in a row, but insiders say Desoer has the hardest job at the company. She was tapped to run the messy mortgage business as it bought Countrywide, a deal that put her in charge of one in five U.S. mortgages.
