Morgan Stanley's new iPhone/iPad appPosted by RJ and Makay on Aug 24, 2010 |
Morgan Stanley has
launched a high tech version of its available research to institutional clients by introducing an application on the Apple iPad and iPod. In a statement made by Barry Hurwitz, the chief operating officer of investment research, the firm is billing the app as “instant access” – “anytime, anywhere.”
Institutional clients can purchase the app from Apple’s App store, and it will connect them to Morgan Stanley’s research products, including coverage of over 2,600 stocks, plus fixed income markets, currencies, and economics. It will provide access to Morgan Stanley publications, such as “Global Executive Brief,” “Global Debates Playbook,” “Best Ideas,” “Investment Perspectives” and “FX Pulse.” Clients will also be able to search for research reports by analyst, security or date. The Apple launch coincides with the firm’s expanding the reach of its global research team in response to client demand for more research and tools. In addition to the launch of the app, Morgan Stanley has added senior analysts and enhanced its offerings.
