New York City police removed Occupy Wall Street protesters early yesterday from Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan. The demonstrators had been camping there for the past eight weeks. Supreme Court Judge Michael Stallman, in siding with the city and the park’s owner, Brookfield Office Properties Inc., lifted a temporary restraining order, a ruling that prohibits campers from using gear for overnight stays in the park.
