Galleon Group co-founder and hedge fund manager Raj Rajaratnam was sentenced today to 11 years in prison and fined $10 million for conspiracy and securities fraud. Rajaratnam was the key figure in what federal investigators called the largest hedge fund insider trading case in U.S. history.
