Financial services professionals are snapping up the Apple iPad like hotcakes, suggests a report by corporate IT, software, and email firm Good Technology. As the chart by ZDNet to the right shows, iPad activations have been greatest mainly in financial services and appear set to continue increasing in that industry.
By contrast, the rate of iPad activations has been relatively low in other industries such as wholesale/retail, the government/public sector, and legal/professional services. The rate was initially high in the healthcare sector, but quickly tailed off. The reason for that may simply be that the iPad is too large to be carried around in a lab coat, Good suggests.
