Forgetting the name (or pronunciation of the name) of your interviewer

There's nothing more awkward than Fist to Headforgetting the name of the person interviewing you or the proper pronunciation of his or her name. There are several levels of mistakes for this one. Before the interview and during the interview, of course, and then there are those panel interviews where forgetting names can really fluster you.

The more interviews you have the more likely you are at making this critical interviewing mistake. It's easy to get nervous leading up to and during an interview. Sometimes this anxiety can help cause you to do blank on a name. There are few things that give a more negative first impression than the interviewer to know you don't know their name.
