The North American Derivatives Exchanges (Nadex) recently filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for permission to list option contracts on the 2012 presidential election as well as options on whether Republicans or Democrats will control the Senate and House of Representatives. These so-called “prediction markets” could give a better indication of political race outcomes than traditional polls, according to experts.
