United Capital Financial Advisors recently launched The Money Mind Analyzer, a free web-based application that helps people comprehend how the way they feel about money impacts their entire lives. The application is designed to help financial advisors understand their client’s motivation, biases and behavior when it comes to making decisions about their finances.

United Capital Financial Partners Inc. announced last week that it has purchased Peak Capital Investment Services, for an undisclosed sum, to expand its national wealth advisory services. Peak, which has offices in Dallas and Denver, has about $600 million in assets under management, which will add to United Capital’s base of $16 billion in total assets across its organization.
Wealthy investors are increasing utilizing more than one financial advisor for their money management needs, according to the latest research from Cerulli Associates Inc. 33% of households with investable assets of between $2 million and $5 million use multiple financial advisors, and among households with more than $5 million in investable assets, 58% have multiple advisory relationships, Cerulli research shows.
