A new poll by Maritz Research, a firm that specializes in measuring employee satisfaction, has found that U.S. employees still harbor deep distrust of company managements. Despite a slight improvement in business conditions coming out of the worst recession in recent times, the American workforce remains less engaged with their employers than they were a year ago.
Layoffs
March was a solid month for the jobs market, with private U.S. employers adding 201,000 jobs, reports ADP Employer Services. The ADP report, created jointly with Macroeconomic Advisers LLC, is in line with what economists expect to hear Friday from the government in its more comprehensive public and private sector employment report.
Although it lost jobs, New York City's broad financial activities sector has posted its best hiring numbers in nearly a decade, reports the New York State Department of Labor (DOL).
