Contrary to popular opinion that baby boomers will continue to work well past the age of 65, a new study indicates that the oldest of this group of citizens born after 1946 are retiring in large numbers. Transitioning into Retirement: The MetLife Study of Baby Boomers at 65, shows that 59% of the first boomers to reach age 65 are at least partially retired. 45% are fully retired and 13% are retired but working part-time.
