Today marks the 29^th anniversary of the term “email”. On August 30, 1982, the U.S. Copyright Office awarded V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai a copyright for his “email” communication system. Shiva began to develop a standard template system for drafting and sending electronic mail in 1978 at the age of 14.
