According to a new report by the Boston Consulting Group global wealth recovered in 2009 but became more concentrated. Less than 1 percent of all households were millionaires but they own about 38 percent of the world's wealth. This is a 2 percent increase from 2008. Households with more than $5 million in wealth represented one tenth of one percent of households but owns about 21 percent, or about $23 trillion, of the worlds wealth. This was also a 2 percent increase over 2008.
