Joe Duran, the founder and CEO of United Capital Financial Advisers, does not believe that economic conditions in the United States are as bad as equity prices currently reflect.  Though he has not built his reputation from making calls on the stock and the economy, he has the respect of his fellow RIAs for being a successful entrepreneur and salient observer of the financial landscape.  Recently, he shared his perspective in a letter to clients and on CNBC last Thursday.
