Affluent women worry about outliving retirement moneyPosted by RJ and Makay on Jan 31, 2011 |
Affluent men and women see retirement differently, especially when it comes to money worries and expectations about activity levels. Women expect to be more active in retirement and they're also more worried about outliving their money, suggests a Bank of America-Merrill Lynch poll of 1,000 Americans with at least $250,000 of investable assets.
Regarding activities, 86% of the women surveyed plan to travel in retirement compared with two-thirds of men. Nearly two-thirds of women plan to be involved in their communities compared with 43% of men.
