Stocks are up, but people's trust in financial companies isn'tPosted by RJ and Makay on Feb 23, 2011 |
The level of trust consumers have in the financial services industry isn't going up with the stock market, suggests a recent survey by public relations firm Edelman.
When Edelman interviewed 503 investors with $10,000 or more of liquid assets and/or mutual fund investments, 38% said their level of trust in the financial services industry declined in the last year. Fifty-three percent of respondents reported that their trust level has remained the same and 9% said they trusted the industry more than a year ago.
