Strong results in Ameriprise Financial Inc.'s (AMP) advice and wealth-management businesses contributed to its record third-quarter earnings as the company's adviser headcount declined, according to a recent article published by nasdaq.com.

AMP’s third-quarter earnings were up 32% in the quarter, partly due to results from the segment, Ameriprise said in a quarterly earnings report late Wednesday.
