Most Americans believe they are financially better off than their parents were at the same age, according to a recent Gallup Poll. In spite of the continuing weak economy, 69% of survey recipients say they are doing better than their parents did at their age. The percentage, though, is down from 74% who expressed the same opinion in a 1998 Gallup survey.
