A Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index survey, conducted April 4-8, revealed declining optimism among small business owners for Q1, 2011. The Index score fell 12 points from Q4, 2010 to a level of 0, indicating that as a group, small business owners are neutral, neither optimistic or pessimistic or about their companies’ profitability going forward.
Approximately one-third of survey respondents reported concerns about the availability of credit, and fewer business owners showed confidence in their financial situation, revenues and cash flow over the next 12 months.
